Visa crowned Qpal the winners of the ‘Visa Everywhere Initiative’ for MENA in 2017, a global programme designed to identify the hottest Fintech start ups operating in the payments space. Qpal’s mobile payment technology caught Visa’s attention, and the focus on driving customer loyalty by leveraging transaction data was seen as powerfully unique.
Since October 2017, after Visa made an initial investment into Qpal, the partnership has focused on driving cashless initiative together across the Middle East and African regions.
